Discoverery
Taking the time for self-discovery - to courageously yet compassionately reflect on our mind-heart states - is essential to evolving. We must first begin by turning the focal point inward, to understand the patterns and habits, often developed over years, unconsciously and usually deeply-rooted. There is a space if we can get quiet and be still long enough to guide from the inside-out so that we learn to hold our own power internally rather than giving our power over to external forces.

Pausing
Conceptual knowledge is powerful. Setting aside time for experiential practice takes learning to a whole other level - deepening the information we absorb into experiential, subjective understanding. Learning to "be still" with the breath as our anchor is essential for growing into an empowered space. With practice, we can then transition more easily into the rest of our daily experiences with mindful, intuitively wise and compassionate responses

Responding We are all in this human experience together. We can 'choose' to live in awareness if we want to have a more qualitative, fully-experiential journey.
Simple? Yes. Easy? No. Being Mindful is cultivated through intention, attention, and dedicated practice. Consequently, a clearer and more expansive space in the heart-mind allows us to 'choose' consciously and over time, responding, rather than reacting, becomes our default. We can assume full accountability for our lives through the choice-consequence relationship - this is empowered living! |
